Life After a YWAM DTS Students
YWAM is a global missions organization whose aim is to Know God and Make Him Known. The organization accomplishes this through Mercy, Evangelism, and Training. They’re everywhere, doing everything.
Someone who shares YWAM’s values and has experienced the organization as a student and as a volunteer staff for a number of years,I’ve been reflecting on founder Loren Cunningham’s invitation to covenant. As part of that personal exercise, I wanted to reconnect with the people who were in the same Discipleship Training School as I. Since it was a small school (6 students) and due to challenges of tracking them all down, I decided to open up the Qs to others who have done the school over the years.
I’ve told the people I’ve approached with the Qs that I expect the feature to be a number of things: cathartic, informative, scandalous, boring, theraputic, honest, revelatory, engaging, worthwhile. Interested to see if anyone takes the bait, I’ve encouraged them to surface from their mystery like a shark, and share their thoughts. And I’m okay if there’s blood in the water.
We’ll see where it goes.
