Andrew’s first foray into film making was with the independent film The Prison of Mine which premiered at the Park Plaza Theatre in Red Deer.
Andrew co-wrote the short which was directed by his younger brother Matt Kooman. Starring Joel Krogman, the film is the story of a young man who is pulled into another world through a painting in a mysterious art gallery.
Little does he know that the freedom he seeks once he is trapped in a prison lies in his own hands.
