I feel excitement about the New Year this morning. I’m planning a trip to Vancouver to visit my amazing Grandma. I want to move around the world as much as I can.
I’ve been thinking about checking out the campus at Regent College in my time there. But after some thinking, I remembered that the impetus behind this blog site was to create a space where I could have my own curriculum and do the very things I’d have to pay for at places like Regent. It’s a forum to expand my territory.
It was worthwhile to visit Regent’s site, however. And who knows, perhaps there will be a connection to the school in the future. It was good to read about the body’s history, foundation, and its values. They highlighted, for me, my desire to have godly heart, soul, and mind, the need of these things in the Christian laity worldwide, and of the importance of solid foundations.
I was also spurred to memorize the Apostle’s Creed as well as the Nicene Creed. I can pretty confidently rattle off the former, but now need to work on memorizing the latter. Test me in the near future.
I’m happy to report that I’ve finished one of the books on my reading list: Shusaku Endo’s Silence. Quite a book. I look forward to diving into it more deeply and examining it on this site.
Two other notes. I want to learn more about the workings of the human body, especially at the nutritional level. That is a goal this year. I also want to learn more about the stock market and investment.
