“Full” VIDEO: Elizabeth May Blows Gasket on Mike Duffy – Live!
UPDATE:
A lot of people (myself included) have been looking for the full exchange between McKay, Duffy, and May. Mckay’s statement, however is cut. (Thanks Abandoned Stuff for the heads up.)
Did anyone else catch May’s blow-up on CTV last night after the Antigonish debate? I happened to turn on the TV just as Duffy was finishing an interview with Peter McKay. She was pretty angry, but I missed the context.
Looking for an online clip.
UPDATE: HERE IT IS

I saw it , Duffy was completely out of order, he tried to make her look like a fool , but she put him in his place real fast.
I can’t find it but I’m good at searching. What i saw was her objection to the totally biased introduction Duffy gave to Peter MacKay who was interviewed first. Then when May came on she was livid. We’ve been friends for a long time she said but I have to call you out on this. But I would like to see the transcript of Duffy’s intro. This is the reference I could find to this outburst.
NOT good digging stuff out.
One of the things Ms. May was objecting to was Duffy saying her position on NAFTA was “bizarre” and she wanted to dump NAFTA when in fact she’s always talked about renegotiating NAFTA and there are a couple of youtube videos where she outlines her reasons why. Duffy was trying to make her look ridiculous and thus discredit her I guess. It was apalling.
[...] blogosphere is taking note of Duffy’s ethical standards, or rather the lack of [...]
I have to say, way to cut the beginning of the clip, you know, the part she was referring to – convenient that was left out so you could basically say she was “going bonkers”. It may have provided some clarity, being that the corpulent mascot of CTV politics misled viewers completely on her comments. In some circles, thats called “bullsh*t” and Elizabeth May called him out on it. But nice try at “framing” what happened, but it ain’t working.
Thanks very much though for posting the vid though, much appreciated, us lefties are getting a really good laugh at watching Mikey squirm and blush.
glad you found the video.
about framing the clip – it’s the only one i found on the net… i’d really like to see the whole interview for myself. (when i turned on the tv and saw it live, i only saw duffy’s question and her response). i’m waiting to find the ‘whole’ meal deal. it is interesting that that was the only clip on youtube.
Very impressed by Ms May….obviously smart, lots of passion, has some empathy. Too bad more folks can’t get past the party brand stereotype.
Duffy needs to go, or have “warning: big fat pig who is friends with all party insiders” plastered as a disclaimer all over his nonsense pieces. He’s starting to get the facts very wrong and always to the disadvantage of new ideas or smaller parties.

As we eventually discovered when Duffy was appointed to the Senate, the fix had been in for years. Duffy is not a journalist. He is no different from a wrestling referee who works with the combatants to fix the result. Good for May for call him on it. Its been 24 years since I lived and worked in Ottawa but I still have the vivid image of Duffy, sitting in the Parliamentary cafeteria pushing so many donuts into his mouth that the cream spurted out across his face. I still call him the Pilsbury Dough Boy and break out laughing at him. Insiders call him Duff. Its not an affectionate nickname. As a long time Navy man, we have a slang expression for after dinnner dessert when its full of sugar and flour – its called Duff! And that is where Duffy’s nic comes from, and it surely ain’t affectionate.
