the end
i lay here in the darkness.
i lay here broken and hurt and in pieces.
i watch the shadows fall on the horizon, the moon rising…
everything has ended.
no more despair, no guilt, no desire-
just a burned aching hole between my breasts that used to house my dreams…
dark smoky fragments of you drift out and float away into the night.
there is no limit to our love. no limit to my pain. no limit to my regrets…
i wish i could sew the pieces of myself back together but the stitches pull
apart.
my tears fall again though it seems they should no longer exist..
how can i cry anymore
how can i care anymore
how can i want anymore
when you are gone.
