Anna returns to the small-town church she grew up attending for its annual Easter production after a ten-year absence. When she meets Joshua after the performance, her view of the cross as a tired, old symbol is challenged not only by his invitation to imagine it differently but her need for it to be something more.
It’s a fantastic production for you faith community. There’s signing, there’s mind-opening imagination, and there’s a powerful story that doesn’t pull any punches about how life is tough, the road is hard, and sometimes faith doesn’t seem to cut it. The original production Premiered in Alberta for Easter 2015 and raised more than $90,000 for charity.
If you’ve been through the school of hard knocks, or know someone who has pursued the creative journey with great disappointment, not so much in God, but in life and the people they encounter day to day, then this play will renew your heart again and their hope again!
